Wellington: Wellington, New Zealand’s capital, is an attractive harbour city at the southern tip of the North Island. It is conveniently located for getting to the rest of the North Island or taking a ferry to the South Island. Most international flights go through Auckland or Christchurch, each of which has frequent connecting flights to Wellington.
