The Society for Women’s Advancement in Philosophy is planning their third annual conference, and we are seeking paper submissions suitable for a 30-minute presentation (collaborative panel proposals will also be considered). We encourage submissions by graduate students on any branch of philosophy applied to topics of race, sexuality, gender, and related topics. Radical philosophy is welcome.
Keynote Speakers:
(1) Alison Jaggar: Professor of Philosophy and Women’s Studies at University of Colorado, Boulder
(2) Peggy DesAutels: Associate Professor of Philosophy at University of Dayton
Submission Guidelines:
Paper submissions: Include complete paper and abstract (up to 150 words). All paper submissions are blind-reviewed. No author-identifying information in the text of the paper. Include author and contact information in the text of e-mail or cover letter (for mailed submissions).
Panel proposals: Panel proposals should include a topic title, a 250-word (maximum) abstract from each participant as well as a 250-word (maximum) statement that explains the importance and relevance of the panel. In a separate document include a list of confirmed participants along with their affiliations.
