2007 Theme:
Justice
Of the classical virtues, justice is the most the basic for human flourishing and the most elusive to define and to realize in society. The 2007 conference is the first in a series of four conferences on the cardinal virtues. We invite papers examining the meaning, history, and practical implications of the idea of justice as a virtue. We encourage submissions from a variety of disciplinary perspectives.
Presentations may include the following topics:
· Justice and War
· Economic Justice
· Racial Justice
· Injustice
· Global Justice
· Environmental Justice
· Leadership and Justice

“From Anger to Justice: the Well-Tempered Soul”
Presentation proposals should be no more than one-page in length and include name, affiliation, address, and e-mail address. Presentations will be limited to twenty minutes with ample time provided for discussion. Proposals for panel discussions and “works in progress” are encouraged. Deadline for submissions is January 30, 2007.
