The Review Journal of Political Philosophy is currently seeking submissions for Volume 6.
Special issue: Terrorism, Torture, and the Uses of Violence
The Review Journal of Political Philosophy is currently seeking articles for a special volume dealing with the question of violence. This volume will appear as Volume 6, and will be published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing, Ltd.
Articles might address such questions/topics as the following:
- Is violence ever justified?
- What constitutes ‘violence,’ ‘terror’ or ‘torture’?
- Does pacifism entail cowardice, or other forms of moral failure?
- Is the use of violence compatible with an ethics of care, or with other forms of feminism?
- Are there utilitarian arguments that justify terrorist tactics?
- Is torture ever morally permissible?
Early submissions are encouraged.
All submissions should be prepared for blind review. Submissions may be sent by post or email attachment (MS Word please). Editorial decisions will usually take two to three months.
