Episteme

Episteme, an International Journal of Undergraduate Philosophy, announces the scheduled publication of volume XVIII, September 2007.

Episteme will consider papers written by undergraduate students in any area of philosophy. Papers are evaluated according to quality of research, depth of inquiry, creativity, original insight and clarity.

  1. Maximum of 5,000 words.
  2. Cover sheet with author’s name, mailing address (current and permanent), email address, telephone number, college or university name, and submission title.
  3. Title page. (Author’s name should not appear on title page or in text.)
  4. Works Cited page in Chicago style. Please use endnotes as a supplement.
  5. Three double-spaced copies with numbered pages and one electronic copy formatted for
    Microsoft Word, submitted as an attachment.

Submissions must be postmarked by February 12, 2007, and addressed to:

Episteme is an annual student-run publication, founded in 1990, that aims to recognize and encourage excellence in undergraduate philosophy by providing students and faculty with examples of strong work.

Our September 2006 issue contained the following papers:
