The Philosophy Graduate Student Organization in conjunction with the Society for Classical Pragmatist Studies and the Department of Philosophy at The University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida is pleased to announce a call for papers for the first annual Graduate Student Philosophy Conference. The conference will be held at The University of South Florida on March 21st and 22nd, 2008, and will consist of selected graduate student papers relevant to the topics of Philosophy of Mind, American Philosophy/Pragmatism and Aesthetics. The keynote address will be presented by

Richard Shusterman: Dorothy F. Schmidt Eminent Scholar Chair in the Humanities, Director, Center for Body, Mind, and Culture, Florida Atlantic University

The deadline for submission to this conference is January 1st, 2008, and a response will be given by February 1st, 2008. Submitted papers should be between 3,000 and 4,000 words, and accompanied by an abstract that explains the thesis of the paper. Submissions should be presented for blind-review, devoid of any marks indicating authorship. Name, institution, email and personal information should be included with the abstract.
