Ronald de Sousa is a major figure in the philosophical analysis of emotion; his articles address fundamental issues in philosophy of mind, biology, action, ethics, aesthetics, theory of truth, consciousness, and rationality, while his books include the modern classic, ‘The Rationality of Emotion’ (MIT Press,
1987) and, more recently, ‘Evolution et Rationalité’ (Presses Universitaires France, 2004).
