New Deadline for Submission: February 24, 2006

University of Toronto
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
12-14 May, 2006

Keynote Speaker
Myles Burnyeat, All Soul’s College, University of Oxford

The University of Toronto’s international graduate philosophy conference is Canada’s longest running graduate conference. It draws its 8-12 graduate speakers from among the authors of papers submitted from around the world.

The Theme: Freedom and Law
The links and rifts between epistemological, metaphysical and normative concepts of law go too often undiscussed. However, these often divergent concepts share the same root. Highlighting this common heritage, we invite graduate philosophers to submit papers related to the theme of Freedom and Law as it applies in their field. Contributions from philosophers of science are especially welcome.

To this end, we welcome 4,000 word (or less) papers from across the philosophical spectrum. We hope to receive papers from all philosophical traditions and sub-fields. More information is available at our website: www.chass.utoronto.ca/gpsu/conf/

We apologize that we can only accept papers written in English.

Graduate Student presenters traveling to the conference from outside the greater Toronto area will receive a stipend.
