How to keep up with this site’s philosophy conferences and CFPs
Published by Christina Huggins August 30th, 2006 in How-ToI just added all of this info to this website’s “About” page, but thought it was helpful enough to include as a front-page post:
While the front-page blog is great for seeing this month’s (or next month’s) events, you may want to know what’s coming up a few months down the line. And the contributors are constantly adding new entries, so there are many event entries that you won’t see on the front page. There are several ways you can get this info:
- Subscribe to the blog: If you give us your email address, you will be automatically updated when the front-page of the blog is updated, and I will also email you with a list entries that our contributors have recently added. (I usually send out these emails a few times a month). This option is nice if you’d like to keep up with everything that’s added to this website, as it is added to it. You can also access this info as an rss feed, as well as see these lists on the following web page: www.mailbucket.org/philosophyconferences
- The calendars: There are two calendars on this site that you can use to browse upcoming events and CFPs: the smaller calendar you’ll see on the right-hand menu of the website, and the google calendar (the google calendar is a bit quicker, but the smaller calendar gives you more info). If you use any calendar software that is iCal compatible (e.g., google calendar), you can subscribe to the website vCal calendar: http://philosophyconferences.com/?ec3_vcal (read more about this option here). All of these calendars are organized by either the first date of the conference or the CFP deadline date.
- In addition to the main RSS feed, there is also a special RSS feed that gives you a list of the upcoming 40 events and CFPs (events and CFPs for approximately the next month or two).
