His monographs include Leibniz’s Universal Jurisprudence: Justice As the Charity of the Wise (Harvard University Press, 1996), The General Will Before Rousseau (Princeton University Press, 1986) and Will and Political Legitimacy : a Critical Exposition of Social Contract Theory in Hobbes, Locke, Rousseau, Kant, and Hegel (Harvard University Press, 1982).This is an open paper: staff, students and visitors are very welcome.
